Damian Zielinski

Founder & Partner, CEO

With over 18 years of experience in the security industry, Damian specialises in developing and implementing strategic security solutions. His expertise in risk management has been honed through advanced training programs and over a decade of hands-on experience in complex operational environments.

Throughout his global deployments, Damian has built an extensive international network, delivering specialised training to both private and governmental sectors. He has worked alongside security and management teams worldwide, overseeing operations in more than 45 countries, including high-risk and hostile environments. His ability to provide risk mitigation strategies has been instrumental in supporting corporate clients and NGOs. A trusted security advisor, Damian has extensive experience working with high-net-worth families, ensuring their safety through tailored security solutions.

John Heron

Hostile Environments NGO and Media Consultant

John brings 16 years of experience from HM Forces - Special Operations, where he deployed on global missions before retiring as a Warrant Officer in the regiment’s training wing. Following his military career, he transitioned into the private security sector, specializing in close protection and security consultancy in Iraq. His expertise was integral to operations with the British Embassy in Baghdad and the U.S. Department of Defence, where he oversaw security operations across the country.

Leveraging his extensive operational background, John became a trusted security advisor for NGOs and international media. His guidance has been sought by leading news organizations, including BBC, SKY NEWS, Channel 4, Channel 9, ITN, CBC, and ABC Australia. He has played a critical role in ensuring security for teams operating in some of the world’s most volatile regions, including Libya, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Mexico, Ukraine, Zambia, Mozambique, Senegal, and Hong Kong. Specializing in risk mitigation for media and humanitarian organizations, John provides strategic security solutions that enable press teams and aid workers to operate safely in high-threat environments. His work encompasses comprehensive threat assessments, intelligence analysis, and the development of tailored safety protocols to address mission-specific challenges. With a strong focus on strategic planning and post-mission evaluations, he equips teams with the expertise needed to navigate complex risks effectively. As a freelance safety advisor, John remains at the forefront of security operations in conflict zones, providing vital support to those on the front lines of global reporting and humanitarian aid.

Magdalena El Ghamari

Security & Counterterrorism Consultant

Magdalena El Ghamari is a consultant for EPM Global, specialising in defence, security studies, and counterterrorism. With a PhD in Social Sciences, she focuses on operational techniques, risk management, and threat analysis in high-risk environments.

She is an Assistant Professor at INPISM and Head of the Cultural Security Unit at Collegium Civitas in Warsaw, as well as a key expert at the War Studies University in Poland. A recognised authority on Islamic extremism and counterterrorism, she is a member of the MIRAD consortium and Polish Platform for Homeland Security, with expertise in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE), transnational terrorism (TT), and jihadi propaganda across North Africa and the Middle East. A Visiting Professor at Heidelberg Skopje (2023-2025) and member of the Society for Libyan Studies (UK), Magdalena has authored 70+ scientific articles, led 15+ international projects, and conducted 50+ training sessions on security strategy and crisis response. As a consultant for EPM Global, Magdalena provides strategic insights, risk intelligence, and security advisory, strengthening our expertise in threat mitigation and operational resilience for clients operating in volatile environments.

Anemona Knut

With an MA in Communications and an MBA graduate, Anemona has over 20 years of professional experience in media and luxury hospitality.

She specializes in project management, organizational development, and people strategies. She honed her skills working in Australia, Poland, and the UK, as well as through project management in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the USA. Anemona oversees new initiatives and leads organizational development across all our operational areas.
