Safety & Security Advisor – Ukraine

EPMG Partners is seeking experienced security professionals to support international humanitarian and field operations in Ukraine. The role requires individuals capable of operating in complex and dynamic environments while ensuring the safety and security of field personnel delivering critical assistance in affected regions. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to work closely with international teams operating in high-risk and rapidly evolving environments. Applicants must have extensive military experience and documented deployments to conflict zones, either through military service or within the private security sector. A strong background in operational medical training is essential. Candidates must possess a good command of English, with Ukrainian or Russian language skills considered a strong advantage. They should also demonstrate a solid understanding of security risk management, including the ability to conduct risk assessments, produce clear security reports, and support informed operational decision-making.

Safety & Security Advisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide security advisory support to field teams operating in complex and high-risk environments.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and provide practical guidance to operational teams.
  • Plan and oversee safe movement of teams, including journey management, route planning, and movement tracking.
  • Monitor and analyse the local security situation and provide regular updates and security briefings.
  • Support implementation of security procedures, contingency planning, and emergency response protocols.
  • Coordinate with local partners, drivers, and operational teams to ensure safe and efficient field activities.
  • Provide security briefings and guidance to international staff before and during field deployments.
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety protocols, and international compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive military background with documented deployments to conflict zones (military or private security sector).
  • Proven experience operating in hostile or high-risk environments.
  • Strong understanding of security risk management principles, including risk assessments and reporting.
  • Strong situational awareness and sound operational judgment.
  • Strong medical training background and ability to respond to medical emergencies.
  • Good command of English; Ukrainian or Russian language skills are a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively within international teams in dynamic environments.
  • Professional integrity, discipline, and the ability to operate under pressure.
