He was involved in special instructor programs where he gained his counter-terror and conflict management knowledge. Damian has built vast global networks through his involvement in planning and delivering specialised training programs to the private and governmental sectors. He has worked alongside numerous security and management teams for a considerable period, coordinating teams of security operatives. He has also provided high-profile security services in over 40 countries on five continents including high-risk areas.
Having worked within the inner sanctum of many High-Net-Worth families, Damian has built up a great network of key advisors across all sectors, making him one of the ‘go-to’ people for a vast number of private advisors.

A former soldier of the British Parachute Regiment and served in the United Kingdom special forces unit, the SAS. He has operated, advised, and trained foreign governments’ military in some of the world’s most hostile and challenging environments. With more than 40 years of professional experience spanning across all security aspects, Michael now specialises in creating security strategies as well as consulting in most complex security cases of sensitive magnitude.
Chief Hostile Environments and Media Consultant
John’s remarkable 16-year career with the United Kingdom Special Forces culminated in his retirement as a Staff Sergeant from 23 SAS. His operational deployments included critical missions in Bosnia and Afghanistan. John concluded his military service as an acting Warrant Officer within the regimental training wing, overseeing the selection, assessment, and training of recruits for the Special Forces Reserve. Following his military tenure, John transitioned to a close protection role in Iraq from 2004 to 2011, providing security services and serving as a security consultant for the British Embassy in Baghdad.
Since leaving Iraq, John has built a commendable career as a freelance safety advisor for the press and NGOs, undertaking assignments in high-risk locations such as Libya, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Mexico, Ukraine, Zambia, Mozambique, Senegal, and Hong Kong. He has worked extensively with leading news organizations including BBC, SKY NEWS, Channel 4, Channel 9, ITN, CBC, and ABC (Australia), focusing on supporting news crews in areas of elevated risk. His comprehensive approach to risk mitigation involves initial reconnaissance, drafting detailed reports, creating and implementing safety protocols, and providing post-mission analysis and advice.
At EPM Global, John holds the position of Chief Hostile Environments and Media Consultant. He is responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies for media and NGO personnel operating in conflict zones and other high-risk areas. Additionally, John directs our specialized training programs, equipping individuals with the skills needed to navigate and perform their duties safely and effectively in challenging settings.

She specialises in Project Management, Organisational Development and People Strategies. Her expertise was developed while working in Australia, Poland and the UK, and through the management of new opening projects worldwide, including Middle East, Southeast Asia and the USA. Anemona oversees our new initiatives and takes the lead in the organisational development across all our operational areas.
